Samira Laouzai serves as the Deputy Director and Manager of eLearning Services and Quality Assurance for the Division of eLearning and Professional Studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Samira manages the instructional design and media services workflow, faculty professional development training, continuing education offerings, and the Quality Matters initiative. In addition, she oversees the student online orientation for UAB freshmen, transfer, and dual/concurrent enrollments.
Samira holds a second appointment as a credentialed course instructor teaching a First Year Experience (FYE) online course for the Vulcan Materials Academic Success Center at UAB.
Samira is a Certified Quality Matters Master Reviewer, a Certified Face-to-Face and Online Quality Matters Facilitator, and serves as the Quality Matters Coordinator for the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a certified Lean Sigma Green Belt.
